Writing Task - Michelangelo story starter

Today you will be using a snippet of a famous painting created by Michelangelo to inspire your writing. Think carefully about what you can see. Does it remind you of anything? How could you create a story based on this picture alone? Use the writing plan to help you.

		Planning:
1	characters	Who could the 2 characters be? Are they friends? Enemies? Strangers or best friends? Young or old?
2	Location	Where does the story take place? E.g. at home, on the stage, at school, in another country?
3	Plot	What happens in the story? What happens to the characters? What happens in the beginning, middle and end?
4	Problem	What was the main problem? E.g. car accident, sickness, good acting, stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean?
5	Solution	How is the problem solved? What happens at the end?

Start your writing here: one beautiful peaceful day there were two girls one had black curly hair with black eyes her name was jasmine  the other girl had brown straight hair with brown eyes her name was rose, they were best friends. One night they had a sleepover at jasmines house it was getting boring so they wanted to play a board game they play a board and stayed up until 2 o'clock when they finished there board game they both wanted to go sleep but when it was the middle of the night rose felt something touching her arm her arm was off the bed so something touching her she was scared. Soon later something was touching her feet she screamed Jasmine woke up  rose whisper in her ear and said something is touching her feet the door was wide open Jasmine went up tiptoes to the side of her bed and peeked her head and started laughing she told rose it was her  baby sister Ella she probably thought rose was jasmine and tried to wake her up jasmine carried  Ella to her room and made her sleep rose fell a sleep when jasmine went in the room  she saw someone climbing throw her sisters bedroom window and it was her sister she went to a party and came late she sneaked throw her window so no one could see her but she screamed loud ass Ella started crying and jasmine ran to her room and saw her mum angry rose woke up and heard Ella crying she went her room and carried her when she went to her jasmine sisters room to see what's going on she was in shocked jasmine's sister diamond was wearing her mom's new t shirt and got heaps of coffee on it. It was 3am  and someone rang the doorbell  jasmine went up and open the door and screamed it was a man with a mask with a knife they started to run then the guy took his mask of and said trick ya turns out it was jasmine's dad rose almost had a heart attack lucky it was prank but diamond was still ground for 2 months even she tried to get away with and everyone was happy.

Today you will be writing a newspaper article about an art heist (robbery) that has occurred. A famous painting created by Raphael (‘The School of Athens’) has been stolen from a famous museum. Write a news article to describe and report what has happened.

Start your writing here: centuries ago there was a man and his name was Raphael. He was brave, smart and loyal; he lived in a village near italy.  Raphael was famous because he was a painter. The village loved him and one day he painted this beautiful artwork of the mona lisa. the village told raphael to put his creative artwork inside of the museum so he listen the painting that he painted cost more than 1000$ everyone loved it. One night when raphael was getting ready to go bed the village scream thief raphael ran outside and saw someone with his painting he quickly put on his boots and chased him but he was no match for thief.the thief ran with the  painting lucky someone took a photo of the thief raphael put up a poster of the thief and the wayward was three thousand grand the village did not care  how much it cost they just wanted  to help raphael.the village was loyal to raphael so they had a plan to get his painting back.the village told raphael to paint another painting again and to put the painting inside the museum. They Said that his painting cost 6000 grand  but it was actually 3 pounds one night the thief came back raphael saw the thief and sneaked up on him when the thief was about to  snatch the painting raphael quickly catched him raphael yelled “i've got him i've got the thief” the village heard him and they ran down to the museum they put the thief behind bars and they celebrated at last the painting is home they had big feast and raphael was happy.
